Pete & Kim’s Bare Story
Pete and Kim Bare it All
Kim and I have been traveling and living light, or nudist or naturist or whatever term sits with you, for more than thirteen years now following what could be best described as a somewhat confusing start. Back in early 2003, we and another couple decided to take a weekend away and I suggested a place, which has since closed, up the coast at Nelson Bay called Bardots. This was a clothing optional resort and I made this very clear to the others in our group, even sent them the website details. I thought it was something different to try. All agreed and it was duly booked. Then while talking by phone to our friends, less than 24 hours before we were due to check in, they said that they had just checked the website and panicked: “You weren’t joking?” This is a moment I’ll never forget and after some hastily convened discussions between our wives, we decided to go. After all, we didn’t want to lose our deposit and it turned out to be a truly great weekend. The rest, as they say, is history.
We can credit the decision to rescue our deposit with changing our lives! We have made many new friends, good friends, and experienced things most people would never even consider doing. We’ve enjoyed the glaciers of Alaska, the Islands of the Caribbean and Hawaii, the deserts and beaches of the Kimberly’s all from the comfort of our own skin.
After six Bare Necessities cruises, with a seventh booked, and numerous other nude destinations under our belt, we’re still landing more! Do we think everyone should do it? Well no, it’s probably not for everyone, but we’d certainly suggest giving it a try. If only for the fact that new ideas and experiences broaden the mind, and a mind once broadened can never shrink back to it’s original dimensions.
Naturally,
Pete and Kim
