Next Stop: Hvar, Croatia
Bare Necessities loves to plan cruises with Croatian ports because it is very nude friendly. The Adriatic is crystal clear and calm; perfect for avid sailors due to it having year-round warmth and sunshine. Along with nude sunbathing and swimming at nearby Jerolim island, Hvar offers a historic town square, and St. Stephen’s Cathedral, a World Heritage site. You could also hike up to the fort for photos of the harbor and the Pakleni Islands in the distance. Many enjoy simply spending time at the waterfront sipping coffee and looking at the elegant yachts moored there.
Take a short boat ride to the Pakleni island of Jerolim. Inexpensive water taxis are easily accessed from the main pier. A short walk to the other side of this small island and you’ll find a secluded, terraced nude beach with a funky little beach bar offering refreshments as well as the option to rent umbrellas and lounge chairs. If you and your friends would like to splurge and take the sailboat excursion offered by Star Clippers, you’ll get a wonderful trip around the Pakleni Islands that includes a stop at the nude beach for swimming and drinks before returning to the ship. There are so many ways to enjoy this beautiful, sunny island and it is one of the many highlights of our Adriatic Odyssey 2022 cruise.
