Next Stop: Haulover Beach
Haulover beach, located in Miami Florida, is one of the few beaches in the state where it is legal to go bare. While that sounds great to us, unfortunately, Haulover is not always seen that way by everyone else.
Shirley Mason (of B.E.A.C.H.E.S. Foundation Institute) says:
“It’s tempting to take the nude beach for granted, but it still faces many challenges. These include resistance from neighbors, the introduction of hostile legislation at the state level, behind-the-scenes intrigue by developers coveting the open beachfront, and more transparent pressure from business interests seeking to increase the commercialization of the park with impacts on access.”
The B.E.A.C.H.E.S foundation is holding a fundraiser to help. Please support SFFB’s continued fight to keep Florida beaches bare by purchasing raffle tickets. You can win valuable prizes including a discount on a Bare Necessities cruise!
