Naked in the News- Thinking of your next nude destination?
If you’re looking for the perfect bare beach getaway, you might consider traveling to Spain. Spain has been a popular destination for nudists who tend to stay at local naturist resorts that offer their own facilities. Vera Beach in Andalucia is Spain’s largest nudist beach and in 2013 broke the World Record for the largest nudist swim ever. So it’s no surprise that Spain has just legalized nudity on all beaches in the Andalucia region. With naturism on the rise, we hope to see more governments legalizing nude beaches.
Some beaches within Spain have designated areas reserved for nudists and can be found in the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands as well as Costa del Sol. Nude sunbathers are encouraged to remain in their designated areas. However, in the case of the popular tourist town of Cadiz, Spain, all beaches are now inclusive to naturists.
The European court of human rights has recognized nudism as a freedom of expression, but one thing to remember is to make sure you have something to throw on before stepping off the beach. You don’t want to take any chances breaking the rules against public nudity once you leave the beach.
