Carnival cruise lines is known for its Food and Fun; so, who better to ring in the New Year than with CCL’s President, Christine Duffy and renowned chef, Emeril Lagasse. Not only did these two flip the switch at NYC’s New Year’s Eve countdown in Time Square; together they’ve established a partnership as Emeril has been named Carnival’s Chief Culinary Officer.

Carnival will now feature two iconic talents in the food and dining industry. Food Network star Guy Fieri with his popular mouth-watering burgers and Emeril Lagasse known for his culinary expertise. According to the cruise line, Lagasse will work with Carnival’s chefs, lending insight into new food trends and techniques as well as be involved with future menu items and dining concepts. In the fleet’s main dining rooms, certain entrées will be noted as “Emeril recommends.” Chef Lagasse is looking forward to this new chapter as he starts the New Year, by saying ” I love Carnival’s focus on food and fun and the many great dining options they offer their guests. I’m looking forward to building on our success at sea with Carnival’s exceptional culinary team.”
