Naked in the News – Carolyn Hawkins – Honored for 30 years of promoting nudist lifestyle

While the nudist movement in North America has been growing at a steady rate since the early 1900s, in recent years we have experienced a large increase of interest and participation of new people enjoying natural recreation and the naturist lifestyle. Due to the work and devotion of nudist advocates such as Carolyn Hawkins. Carolyn was just recently honored by The American Association for Nude Recreation – the Florida Region presented her with the Hall of Fame Award, which recognized her for 30 years of promoting naturism and clothing-free living. Hawkins lives and works at Cypress Cove Nudist Resort in Kissimmee.

Carolyn loves to share her testimony to how women find freedom through nudist recreation and vacationing, explaining that she sees “single women, couples and entire families partaking in the freedom of clothes-free living at Cypress Cove Resort.”

She also added how there are people from all walks of life, including, “bankers to bus drivers, housewives, judges, attorneys, celebrities, pretty much everybody. Nude recreation can be for anyone, all you have to do is take off your clothes.”

The Hall of Fame award is the highest honor the region can award a member recognizing meritorious service to AANR and nudism.
