At Bare Necessities (and like many of you), we love learning about new opportunities and destinations for naturists. Whether it be a beach becoming nudist friendly, a new opportunity to take a nudist bike ride or hike, or anything in between, we are excited to see progression for naturists. A nudist revolution of sorts.

Just last year we learned about the first beach in Ireland to become nudist friendly. Hawk Cliff in Dalkey, Ireland underwent a nudist makeover in May of 2018. Signs and public notices were posted warning beachgoers that “nude bathers may be seen beyond this point”, which was truly a milestone for Ireland according to Irish Naturist Society Chief, Pat Gallagher.

Gallagher truly feels that this may be the start of a Nudist Revolution in Ireland. The Irish Naturist Association is currently lobbying local authorities for more opportunities for nudists.

While the beach is still open for clothed swimmers as well, Gallagher stated “We don’t go out to offend anyone. We simply want to go there, lie in the sun, get in the water, have a swim… but we don’t want to wear anything, that’s all.”
