International Skinny Dip Day!
Looking to try something new this summer while finding a way to beat the heat? Why not take the plunge and join others around the world as we shed our clothes and dive into summer. The American Association of Nude Recreation (AANR) has designated the second Saturday in July as International Skinny Dip Day which is considered a rite of summer. Skinny dipping is a tradition as old as mankind and celebrates the natural joy of swimming without the hindrance of a wet bathing suit.
Every year the week after celebrating our country’s freedom on Independence Day, we can celebrate our personal freedom to be independent of cumbersome clothing! On July 10, 2021, AANR invites nudists and non-nudists alike to just go for a swim wearing nothing but a smile. Whether you choose to skinny dip in your private backyard pool, find a secluded spot on the lake or river, visit a public nude beach or even stay at a nudist club or resort, this is your opportunity to experience for yourself what it means to bare it all.
International Skinny Dip Day is part of a weeklong celebration sanctioned by AANR called National Nude Recreation Week (July 4 – 11, 2021). This provides an opportunity for individuals and couples to experience firsthand one of the fastest growing trends – the “Nakation”. In addition, AANR is celebrating their 90th anniversary this summer and we are proud to be associated with this organization.
We hope you will consider participating in National Nude Recreation week, perhaps it’s time to visit that nude beach you’ve always wanted to try or stay at a nearby nudist resort. Others are choosing to reserve some of the last remaining cabins available on the Big Nide Boat 2022 cruise.
Whatever you choose to do to celebrate Nude Recreation Week and International Skinny Dip Day, don’t forget the sunscreen!
