Royal Clipper 2022 | Now Booking!

Our plans for nude cruising were placed on hold this summer. However, we’re not complaining because we have our health and a nearby nudist club. For now, we’re working from home and when the walls start to close in, we simply drive 45 minutes outside of Austin to Star Ranch where we can enjoy an instant Nakation.

The Ranch has made changes to ensure all members and residents remain healthy. Tara Hall clubhouse requires a face covering while inside and is used in a very limited capacity. Breakfast at Margie’s Cafe has been moved outside to the Nekkid Parrot Pavilion. We now feast on bacon and eggs al fresco! The tables are arranged to satisfy the 6 feet social distance requirement, and each has a fan overhead to keep the air cool and moving.

Outdoor activities such as hiking, stargazing, Petanque, Life-size Jenga, and Pickle Ball are enjoyed safely. Afternoons are still prime time to bring out snacks and cocktails in non-glass containers to share with everyone. Conversations are still going on in the pool, all at a safe distance. The Ranch was to be the location for the AANR convention this year, but that honor was postponed until next year.

When things get better, and we know they will, we’ll look back on our quiet summer of 2020 and marvel at how clean the air was with less traffic. We’ll also always be grateful for our AANR membership and our local club. If you haven’t made plans this summer check the AANR website for a club near you and enquire if they are allowing guests. It will save your sanity, renew your spirit, and refresh your tan.

We would love to hear about your summer Nakations even if it’s Puerto Backyardia.
