As a traveler on the Big Nude Boat 2023, I had the pleasure of experiencing the beauty and warm hospitality of St. Kitts. The island’s lush greenery immediately caught my attention, with its tropical rainforests, rolling hills, and scenic beaches that offer the perfect backdrop for any adventure seeker. I had opportunities to witness exotic wildlife, waterfalls, and breathtaking views of the island. We visited Timothy Hill, where the Caribbean meets the Atlantic, with a local guide where we enjoyed craft beer while taking in the vista views. I will say that as I stood at the top of Timothy Hill in St. Kitts, the views took my breath away. Afterwards, we went down the vista to Cockleshell Bay Beach, where we enjoyed a local grill fish lunch with conch ceviche. Being able to walk the black sand beach and go for a swim caused a bit of a guilty reminder that I was joyfully escaping the typical February weather back home.

For history buffs, St. Kitts offers an abundance of opportunities to learn about its colonial past. Brimstone Hill Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was a highlight of my trip. The fortress is an immaculately preserved example of 18th-century British military architecture and a must-see for anyone interested in history.
The island also boasts a vibrant culture, which is showcased through its music, dance, and food. I highly recommend attending one of the local street festivals where you can enjoy live music, dancing, and mouthwatering Caribbean dishes like jerk chicken and saltfish.

Of course, no visit to St. Kitts is complete without enjoying its beautiful beaches. With over 30 beaches to choose from, each with its own unique character, there is something for everyone on this island paradise. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful spot to unwind or a lively beach party, St. Kitts delivers.
